The present general conditions of sale govern all sales of the publications of the Commission of the Geological Map of the World (CGMW) through its catalogue or its website www.ccgm.org<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The placing of an order for these products therefore implies the full and unreserved acceptance by the purchaser of these general terms and conditions of sale to the exclusion of any other provision. Any condition to the contrary imposed by the purchaser will therefore, in the absence of express acceptance, be unenforceable against the CCGM. The fact that a clause of these general terms and conditions of sale is not invoked at a given moment cannot be interpreted as a waiver of the right to invoke it at a later date.<\/p>\n

If a condition were to be lacking, it would be considered to be governed by the practices in force in the distance selling sector whose companies have their registered office in France.<\/p>\n

1) Prices<\/strong><\/p>\n

All prices are established in euros, it being understood that the products ordered are invoiced at the price in force on the day the order is registered. Shipping costs are calculated from Paris. An adjustment of our prices may be made at the beginning of the year on the basis of the official inflation rate in France.<\/p>\n

As a non-profit association under the law of 1901 and in accordance with the relevant provisions of the general tax code, our sales are exempt from commercial taxes.<\/p>\n

2)<\/strong> Shipping costs<\/strong><\/p>\n

Packing and shipping costs are charged according to the rates in effect at the time of order registration, and according to the shipping method chosen by the buyer for the cards (rolled or folded). The default shipping method for cards only available in folded format, booklets and CDs or DVDs is \"envelope - folded\". Whether they are ordered in rolled or folded format, the service used for the dispatch of all orders is that of La Poste: normal post, colissimo expert for parcels destined for metropolitan France and DOM and colissimo international for all shipments abroad. Shipping costs do not include insurance.<\/p>\n

3) Order processing and shipping<\/strong><\/p>\n

The processing time for orders is maximum 7 days. Delivery times are 5 days for France, 1 week for European countries and 10 days for countries outside Europe. This last delay can reach 15 days for some African and South American countries.<\/p>\n

In the case of items that can be delivered on different dates due to their availability, the delivery period is based on the longest indicative period. The GCCC reserves the right to split deliveries. In this case, the shipping costs will be invoiced only once.<\/p>\n

For deliveries outside mainland France and in order to comply with customs legislation, the GCCC reserves the right to modify, without prior notice, the quantities or packaging of certain products. The CCMG may not, under any circumstances, be held responsible for the consequences of product quotas set up in certain countries.<\/p>\n

It is the buyer's responsibility to clear the goods through customs.<\/p>\n

4) Reception<\/strong><\/p>\n

The recipient is requested to check the external condition of the packages upon receipt, in the presence of the carrier. In any case, the contents of any package must be checked within 72 hours.
\nAny anomaly noted at the time of delivery (damaged or missing package, breakage, damage, etc.), must give rise to a handwritten note on the delivery slip, of precise and signed reserves, confirmed by registered letter addressed to the carrier at the latest within 72 hours following delivery. A copy of this letter must also be sent to the GCCM within the same timeframe.<\/p>\n

5) Online orders<\/strong><\/p>\n

For orders placed by Internet, an order validation in the form of a detailed acknowledgement of receipt is sent to the email address indicated by the buyer. This acknowledgement of receipt is proof of the order and its date.<\/p>\n

6) Availability<\/strong><\/p>\n

The GMPCC undertakes to honour the orders received within the limits of available stocks, and in the absence of failure on the part of one of its suppliers. In the event that a product is not available after the order has been placed by the purchaser, the GMPCC undertakes to inform the purchaser as soon as possible and to indicate the estimated waiting time for the reception of the product. If the purchaser so wishes, the order may be cancelled.<\/p>\n

7) Liability<\/strong><\/p>\n

The CCMG cannot be held responsible for any insignificant difference between the product ordered and the product received.
\nThe CCMG cannot be held responsible for the direct or indirect consequences of a delay in delivery, operating losses, loss of profit or loss of opportunity.
\nThe CGC shall not be held responsible in the event of total or partial impossibility of using the products due to incompatibility of equipment.<\/address>\n

The GCCC cannot be held responsible for the non-receipt of the product by the client, and will not pay any compensation, in the event that the client does not collect the item from the delivery point and does not make a complaint within 15 days of the delivery date.<\/span><\/p>\n

8) Returns and refunds<\/strong><\/p>\n

If one of the products ordered does not conform to the expectations of the purchaser, the purchaser may, within 15 days of receiving the product, return it to the GCCC, the cost of return being at the purchaser's expense. The product will then be exchanged or credited to the purchaser's credit card within two weeks following the return of the product. This right of return will only be accepted for complete products, in their original condition (packaging, accessories, instructions, etc.), with the original delivery note duly completed on the back.<\/p>\n

In the event of an exchange, the cost of shipping the new product will be borne by the GCC.<\/p>\n

10) Applicable law and jurisdiction clause<\/strong><\/p>\n

The present conditions are subject to French law. Any dispute between the CCMG and the purchaser will fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of the Commercial Court of Paris, to which they expressly assign jurisdiction, notwithstanding any clause to the contrary, plurality of defendants and\/or third party claims, even for emergency procedures and protective procedures in summary proceedings or by petition. The place of residence or the place of payment appearing on the bills of exchange does not imply any novation or derogation to the present jurisdiction clause.<\/p>\n

11) Modification of the general conditions of sale<\/strong><\/p>\n

The GCCC reserves the right to adapt or modify at any time the present general terms and conditions of sale. The new general terms and conditions of sale will, if applicable, only be applied to sales made after the said modification.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
