General Assembly

The General Assembly of the CCMG takes place every two years, alternately at UNESCO headquarters in Paris and during the International Geological Congress. During these meetings, the orientations of future programmes and the progress of ongoing projects are examined.

In view of the current health and geopolitical conditions, the 2020 and 2022 General Assemblies have been exceptionally cancelled. The next General Assembly will take place during the next Busan International Geological Congress in South Korea in 2024.

The last Bureau meeting took place on 1 December 2020 by video conference. The programme is available here.
